   Every one of our live pages linked fonts.googleapis.com, which means the
   browser sent the visitor's IP address to Google BEFORE they clicked
   anything — on the privacy policy and on the intake page, which is the page
   that collects personal data about third parties. Our privacy policy did not
   disclose Google as a recipient, so the disclosure and the behaviour
   disagreed, and the behaviour is what the visitor actually experienced.
   A German court (LG München I, 3 O 17493/20) has already held that exact
   pattern to be an unlawful transfer under the GDPR.

   The fix is to stop making the request at all. Nothing is proxied and nothing
   is cached — the files are ours, served from our own origin.

   ── WHAT THESE FILES ARE ──────────────────────────────────────────────────
   Inter and Cormorant Garamond, both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1,
   which expressly permits redistribution — see fonts/OFL.txt. They are
   VARIABLE fonts, so each declares a WEIGHT RANGE (300 500) rather than a
   fixed weight: declaring `font-weight: 300` against a variable file pins
   every weight to one instance, and the page silently loses its typographic
   hierarchy. Google's own stylesheet emits the range, which is how this was
   caught.

   Only the `latin` and `latin-ext` subsets are shipped. Google served 46
   faces including Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese; we sell in the UK and US.
   Dropping them took 763KB to 279KB. Identical files across weights were
   deduplicated by hash — six files, not sixteen.
